Senior Accountant Maidenhead Chartered Accountancy Practice This is a unique opportunity to join a successful and growing chartered accountancy practise based in Maidenhead. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and forward thinking modern practice working in our client services team in a busy, friendly office. The Role Responsible for managing a portfolio of existing and new clients Working mainly on Xero but also occasionally other accounting systems, Quickbooks, Sage etc Occasional help with client's bookkeeping and sales and purchase invoice processing Completion of bank & credit card reconciliations Posting monthly journals such as payroll, depreciation, accruals and prepayments along with month end procedures and reports Preparation of VAT calculations for different VAT schemes and submission of VAT returns Preparation of monthly management accounts Preparation of year end accounts for Limited Companies and Sole Traders Liaising regularly with clients responding to queries and providing general advice Candidates Attributes The key attributes required include: You should be methodical with an eye for detail Work to established processes and procedures Have great interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and numerical reasoning Have minimum of 3 years previous experience working in Practice Be familiar with Xero (Xero certification would be a distinct advantage) Qualified AAT or qualified by experience Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience delivering excellent service levels to clients Ability to work on own initiative unsupervised Ability to work to strict deadlines Remuneration - The salary will depend on the successful candidate but in the region of £40,000 to £50,000.
