Chief Financial Officer South East London/Kent Borders Circa £65k negotiable dependent on experience Permanent - Full Time To start ASAP Job Description We are looking for a dynamic innovative qualified accountant with experience of working within the education sector to join an expanding, creative, progressive multi-academy trust. Working within a supportive Executive Leadership team you will be part of the trusts continued success, development and growth. The role involves managing all aspects of finance within the trust and its individual academies, working alongside the CEO, Company Secretary and Directors to ensure appropriate financial policy and governance framework is in place to guide and monitor the trusts financial decision making and use of economic management resources. You will be responsible for strategic planning, management, accounting, financial forecasting, management/auditing of academy budgets and ensuring the trust is compliant with all necessary financial policies/regulations/monitoring processes. You will lead on compliance relating to building regulations, health and safety, insurances, company governance. You will be required to provide accurate and up to date financial information as requested to the Executive Leadership team, trust board and local governance as required to assist the wider financial strategic aims of the trust. Other duties include cash/treasury management, reviewing and improving on the trusts financial systems/processes ensuring they are robust, compliant and support current activities/future goals, managing and developing financial reporting systems and managing the trusts IT system and estate. The Package This is a full time all year-round position to start ASAP - a full in-depth handover will be provided. The position is paying 65k dependent on experience. Job Requirements It is essential you have experience of working within a school finance/operational role ideally using FMS. You must have experience of managing a team of financial professionals
