Pertemps are currently working with a leading organisation based in Glasgow City Centre who are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Administrator to join their team initially on a temporary basis however this opportunity will be going permanent for the right candidate. Our client is looking for an individual to perform diligently and accurately a range of financial tasks predominantly focused around Purchase Ledger transactional processing and reporting, requiring knowledge and experience of operating within a Finance environment. Your duties will involve: To communicate where necessary with external bodies (suppliers) to resolve all invoice related queries. To communicate internally with other teams within the organisation to expedite blocked/overdue invoices. Ensure accurate transactional processing of invoices and resolving problems within the scope of the role To utilise IT / Spreadsheet skills to assist the department with activities requiring data recording /processing. Investigate any transactional difficulties, identify likely cause, potential solutions and escalate where appropriate. Skills that are required: Strong organisational skills. Good punctuality and attendance Professional and friendly attitude to customers and staff Computer literate Comfortable working on an integrated accounting package together with a detailed knowledge of core office systems - particularly Excel The hours of work will be 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.
