Finance Analyst Fixed Term Contract North Tawton, Head Office At Gregory Distribution Ltd (GDL), as a result of continued growth during a busy time for the team, we have avacancy for a Finance Analyst on a 3-6 month fixed term contract based at our Head Office in North Tawton. . The position involves:
• Assist with the preparation of weekly forecasts at cost centre level.
• Prepare accounting schedules for accruals, prepayments and journals that form part of the monthly management accounts.
• Liaise with other members of staff across all departments to provide the information needed for the preparation of the management accounts.
• Prepare management information detailing revenues, costs and profitability together with their respective financial and operational KPI's.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and reforecasts, based on operational data
• Produce open book information for customers.
• Raise sales invoices for specific contracts under the department's control.
• Help and assist in other areas of the business as required.
• Support the business with the new processes during the transition to the new finance system. Essential Skills required:
• Experience of working within a commercial Finance environment.
• Good communication, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
• Experience of using finance systems
• IT literate including MS Office. Desirable Skills required:
• Previous experience in the transport or distribution industry .
• AAT qualified or equivalent. Why Gregory Distribution?
