This Internal Auditor position sits within the EMEA team of a World leading marketing and communications business based in London. The work is focussed on financial internal audits of subsidiary companies across the EMEA region. This primarily involves process walkthroughs, control assessment, detailed substantive and analytical work and report writing. The team travel up to 70% of the time largely across Europe but there will also be some trips to Africa and Russia. Audits are typically of two to three-week duration and are performed in small teams of 2-4 people. Whilst the travel is high, it is very well planned and manageable. You will largely be travelling to major European capital cities (staying in city centre 4 hotels) and are able to either stay in country over weekends or, if you'd prefer, return to London on a Thursday evening before travelling back to the audit site on Monday morning. The successful applicant must demonstrate technical strength in financial accounting and auditing. It is expected that that applicants will have worked within an accountancy firm or another leading multinational business and preferably have some other financial and or internal audit experience, although strong newly qualified accountants may be considered. A formal accountancy qualification is preferred, however international candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered.
