Are you a recently qualified actuary with capital modelling experience? Are you seeking that next step? More responsibility in a smaller team? Then this could be the role for you. Leading the capital modelling team on a daily basis and reporting into the Head of Actuarial, this is a position that can offer excellent exposure. Responsibility for the calculations of capital requirements is of course part of the role, but so too is the use of the model for business decisions which you will be a part of. You will develop the model on an ongoing basis, co-ordinate parameterisation and continue the embedding of the model into the organisation. You will have strong support from a team of analysts but also be tasked with motivating that team. There will also be a need to work on wider risk management and exposure projects with the business. Ideally you will be a qualified actuary or very nearly qualified. Capital modelling experience is a must and Lloyd's/London market experience would be advantageous.
