Your new company
Your new employer is an accommodation business based in Central Sheffield.

Your new role
Your new role will be to manage the overall financial and accounts work within the business. You will be working as part of a small finance team, reporting directly into the Directors.

Your main responsibilities and duties are the following:

* Managing overall financial and accounts work
* Developing, implementing and monitoring control systems, policies and procedures to ensure accounting services and records are robust and secure
* Managing and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting and re-forecast processes
* Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
* Responsible for developing the company's financial and management accounting procedure
* Reconciling purchase invoice list with HQ to avoid aged / outstanding invoices
* Carrying out month end balance and transactions reconciliation
* Expense control with proper analysis
* Checking entries in booking system
* Working with the Facilities team to manage inventory
* Accounting and reconciling month end trial balances, P&L and BS
* Prepare detailed journal entries and account analyses
* Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns
* Other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Executive Director

What you'll need to succeed
You are a highly experienced Finance Manager with at least 3 years' relevant accounting experience. Previous working experience in the accommodation industry is an advantage.

  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • Ability to multi task
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
  • Highly organised
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Able to demonstrate excellent time-management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Problem-solving personality, finding logical solutions
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, using your own initiative


What you'll get in return
You will receive a highly competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 depending on previous working experience. Working days are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hrs / week, 9am until 5pm including 30 min lunch break each and every day. Annual leave is 28 days incl. stats. Free gym on site.
