The Finance Manager role is a high-visibility position within AMD's Corporate Finance organization located in Austin, TX. Reports directly to the Director, Corporate Financial Planning. Primary Responsibilities Coordinate with and provide operational finance guidance to various organizations and individuals across operational teams such as global business units, operations, regions, etc. Lead finance role in developing and maintaining financial models related to long-term and short-term forecasting, including Tax, Treasury and Corporate Accounting coordination Lead finance role in developing and maintaining financial models supporting external audit requirements Present financial data using detailed reports and charts to Senior Finance Leaders Take an active/lead role within the Corporate Finance organization to drive goal achievement and continuous process improvement Support the implementation, integration and enhancement of financial systems Perform ad hoc projects as needed Responsible for the analysis of complex, material transactions and arrangements Qualifications and Skills Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent MBA preferred 10 years of experience preferably a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry in a global fast-paced competitive multi-site high-tech environment Must be able to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment Robust analytical skills required and the ability to turn complex data and concepts into valuable information to present in a simple/understandable manner Strong business acumen and industry knowledge Leader who is strong at execution and can see the big-picture while being willing and able to dive into the details to quickly resolve open items and provide guidance to other organizations on a timely basis attention to detail and ability to work with others is critical success factor The ability to prioritize workload for self and team and work under time constraints without sacrificing quality of work product Enthusiastic, proactive and dynamic individual with the ability to work in teams and with all levels of an organization as well as work independently Ability to build relationships and influence individuals at all levels and organizations other than own and guide outcomes Excellent written and verbal communication skills a necessity Ability to demonstrate discretion in the management of very confidential information Capability to grow within the position and in the future rotate to other Finance leadership positions within the Company
