Position/Organization Overview The HGBU finance team ensures that the HGBU business leaders are provided with current and accurate revenue, expense and headcount forecast information based on a variety of inputs. As the Financial Analyst for Consulting and Partner Channels you will partner with the respective teams and various groups across Oracle to obtain accurate source data to build and maintain a forecast. Responsibilities As a member of Oracle's finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in consolidation and reporting of financial results; preparation of annual budget. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future requirements, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. Perform revenue and expense analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, reconciliation of accounts receivable, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. May participate in cross-functional programs and projects. Additional responsibilities include Financial Planning Accurately forecast revenue, expense, and headcount Active involvement in weekly forecast reviews Consolidation of a weekly forecast. Reporting & Analysis Preparation of the monthly and quarterly actuals reports Consolidation and reporting of Consulting organization Carry out scenario planning and what if analysis Work closely with GFIC to deliver in depth, metrics based reporting on bookings, revenue, expense, headcount, and other KPIs Ad hoc analysis as needed. Budgeting Work closely with the HGBU Business Leads in developing budgets and annual targets. Others Analysis of Pipeline & Bookings Fully Burdened Cost Computation and support for VSOE Analysis Monthly tracking of Accounts Receivable and DSO Preparation and/or review of monthly journal entries Key Competencies Ability to multitask and re-prioritize objectives in a dynamic, challenging environment Capacity to think outside the box and challenge the status quo Personal drive and desire to succeed Willingness to get involved in projects beyond immediate sphere of influence Ability to work in a virtual team environment and with people in remote locations Strong financial & analytical skills Familiarity with Oracle ERP a plus Business partnering (Impact and influence) Personal Skills and Qualifications 3-6 years of experience in Finance, Planning & Analysis. Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Finance. Very strong oral and written communication skills required Ability to juggle a multi-faceted job with tight deadlines. Ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners and stakeholders in order to accomplish team goals. Ability to prepare Excel spreadsheets of high complexity. 2 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. CPA/MBA desired.
