Our client is in the creative sector and is looking for an Assistant Accountant to step up and take control of the Finance department in the UK and Ireland. The role will include: Liaise with foreign Agents to reconcile and settle accounts on a timely basis Manage all aspects of the sales and purchase ledgers for foreign Agents Assist in monitoring aged debtors by following credit control procedures Working with multicurrencies Complete month end bank reconciliations Post month end nominal ledger journals and assist with the weekly cashflow Respond to client account queries and process card payments Identify problems and proactively suggest improvements to processes Provide cover for the Credit Controller and other sales ledger functions They are looking for: Highly numerate with excellent attention to details Strong knowledge of excel Great at communicating with clients and colleagues An accounting degree or study towards an accountancy qualification What they offer Salary up to 26k depending on experience 23 days holiday (goes up by 1 day every year after 2 years) Life insurance Season ticket loan Cycle to work scheme 9am-5pm working hours Ideal start date as soon as possible BUT for the right candidate they will be prepared to wait whilst the candidates complete their notice.
