Overview This privately-owned business manages a portfolio of companies that include some hospitality and leisure amongst other areas. They are looking for an experienced and focused part-time bookkeeper to be based within their head-office. Their three core values of Performance, Care and Wisdom are intrinsic to everything they do. Role To be fully involved in all aspects of the Accounts Department with experience to include but not be limited to:
• Book keeping for multiple legal entities
• VAT Returns Corporate Tax and tax compliance work
• Statutory Accounts
• Production of monthly reports for the Group of companies
• Bank reconciliation
• Processing transactions and maintenance of the general ledger
• Assistance with company external audits
• Central support to the Finance Department
• Payroll (this would be desirable but not essential)
• Ad hoc administration duties commensurate with the role and position within the organisation; any other reasonable duties requested of you in the course of your employment Personal Specification
• ESSENTIAL Minimum AAT
• Highly discreet and able to work confidentially
• A can-do attitude and able to work independently
• Knowledge of accounting systems (Exact would be advantageous)
• Good attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work to deadline
• Knowledge and experience in payroll and payroll systems (Desirable) Location The office is based in a rural location near Broadway, with occasional travel to the London office. Working hours Minimum 15 hrs p/week up to full-time. The client is able to offer some flexibility around working pattern. Salary and holidays
• £30,000 FTE (pro-rated down for part-time hours)
