Accounts Receivable / Credit Control Team Leader - Stockport Finance Centre Job Introduction The Accounts Receivable Team Leader will work in close cooperation with external and internal operational customers, the Credit Management team, OEMs (as required), key customers, and Shared Services colleagues to ensure the efficient collection of receivables, timely processing of customer payments and effective dispute management. This role will motivate and lead an area of the Accounts Receivable team, maintaining high standards, to ensure that customers are compliant in meeting their financial obligations to Inchcape, optimising working capital by minimising overdue debt and disputes. Main Responsibilities Responsibility for a number of Credit Controllers and Accounts Receivable Clerks, providing support, guidance and leading by example to ensure full ownership and accountability for collections, timely processing of customer payments and effective dispute resolution, ensuring compliance with MCF as applicable Monitor team performance through daily, weekly and monthly KPIs and reporting which are distributed and used internally Ownership of allocated AR account subset, ensuring that any overdue balances are prioritised for collection based on value and risk, disputes have been annotated with clear and decisive action taken to resolve, escalating as necessary Support a culture of continuous improvement through root cause analysis, data gathering and problem solving Work with Finance colleagues to forecast customer payments as required The Ideal Candidate Customer Focus Ability to develop good working relationships with internal customers and stakeholders Connects customer needs to internal business processes Takes full ownership and accountability of issues to resolution, understanding when to escalate Operational Focus Experience of leading a team that delivers to high standards Ability to lead a culture of compliance, role modelling high standards of personal and professional integrity Ability to find simple solutions for complex problems and work effectively to resolve customer issues and drive win-win outcomes Business Focus Supports working capital requirements (payments) as necessary Works with Credit Management to ensure efficient customer set up and adherence to AR policies People Focus Experience of motivating and leading teams, creating an enjoyable and rewarding working environment Advocate for people development and experience of job rotations in order to build a multi-skilled team Ability to adapt and learn new tools and techniques, and willingness to lead change within the team Revenue Focus Ability to recognise the sensitivity and importance of workload within the team and prioritise accordingly Benefits You will receive a competitive base salary along with great benefits including: 22 days holiday, rising to 25 after 5 years' service Company Pension Scheme Life Assurance Discount gym membership Vehicle purchase discount Employee Advantage - retail discounts with over 3000 retailers Cycle to work scheme
