Orion Group are looking for a Finance Analyst for our multinational pharmaceutical client based in the Berkshire area on an initial 4-month contract with the potential to extend. Job Purpose This will be an important support role within the COE to ensure Fixed Assets are accurately reflected in the financial statements for Plant affiliates across the EAME region. This will be a new role and will assist in the roll out and delivery of the Fixed Assets capital process across the Plant reporting companies. This role will provide financial and customer support to Ad-hoc projects which will arise as part of the new Capital process. This role will require strong business partnering skills and dedicated interaction with many project managers and non-finance people This is a new role in the General Accounting COE team so applicants must be collaborative in style, open to change, come ready with an inquisitive mind set and seek to improve the way things are achieved. As this is a role looking after a newly-defined Capital process, there will be many opportunities for process improvement and automation as well as building close relationships with project partners across the region. Main Responsibilities of the role Responsibilities of this role are to ensure the accuracy and compliance of the Fixed Assets area within the Balance Sheet and Income statement This role will consist of being the designated process owner for Fixed Assets Plant entities and in continuous contact with affiliates to provide guidance and training on the Capital Process Assist in the roll out of the new Capital process across the region Assist in documenting the end-to-end process flow and create detailed training materials/tutorial for End Users Monthly creation and review of the CIP (construction in progress) assets Timely review, creation and destruction of Fixed Assets as per request framework on a monthly basis Participation in the coordination / review of other Fixed Asset controls: Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Inventory Counts, Useful Economic Life etc. Dedicated support for Ad hoc Capital requests / inquiries for Plant entities Support of continuous improvement projects within the Capital area Ensure strong internal controls are in place in order to achieve "adequate" internal and external audit ratings Accurate and timely month-end reporting. Meet all corporate and regional deadlinesDesired Experience and Background of the successful candidate Trainee accountant, minimum of 2 years' financial experience desirable English essential, Other European languages desirable Proven track record of supporting complex tasks across multi-affiliates Strong Fixed Asset accounting and operations background Knowledge of SAP & Excel Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information Effective analytical and problem solving skills, plus demonstrates drive and a willingness to take ownership for tasks and responsibilities Effective communication, collaboration and influencing skills Customer focused; able to build effective partnerships with internal customers and work as part of a team Effective organizational and time management skills Demonstrate sound work ethics, respect, team building, and cultural sensitivity and awarenessOur role in supporting diversity and inclusion As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
