The Position We are currently looking to recruit a Financial Planning Analysis Accountant to support the Financial Controller in delivering sound and robust financial forecasts and budgets. Following the acquisition of Mack Brooks by Reed Exhibitions a permanent position has arisen as FP&A accountant to support the Financial controller in delivering sound and robust financial forecasts and budgets The roles primary purpose is to support the FC with production of on time and accurate budgetary and forecasting information. The candidate should be a self-starter with an ability to problem solve and integrate quickly into the finance team. The Company Situated in the heart of St Albans City Centre, opposite St Albans Abbey in a beautiful grade II listed building, Mack Brooks Exhibitions is a leading international exhibition / trade fair organiser, a publisher of business to business events. Established in 1965, the company is part of Reed Exhibitions, a division of RELX Group. RELX Group is a global provider of information and analytics for professional and business customers across industries. Key Tasks include: Responsible for production of post-show accounts on a monthly basis as appropriate. Managing and reviewing the monthly mass allocation journals, by working closely with show management to ensure that show forecasts are up to date and reflect the underlying expectations and plans of the business. Preparation of the monthly forecasts along with supporting commentary. Ownership of the annual budgeting process. Line management of the junior management accountant. Assisting the management accountant at month end with prompt reporting of monthly numbers through the group reporting tool. Skills, Knowledge, Experience: Highly competent ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified accountant. Advanced Excel skills Experience of Oracle EBS and Hyperion desirable. (or other tier 1 accounting solution) The ability to work both independently and as a team player Proactive, responsive and able to work under pressure High level of attention to detail. Previous multi-currency experience (desirable) Foreign language skills (desirable) We provide Excellent working hours (35 h/week: Monday - Thursday 8. 30am to 4 45pmincl. 1 h lunch, 8. 30am to 4pm on a Friday incl. 1.5 h lunch) 22 days holiday, rising to 25 days after 4 years' service plus Christmas closure days in addition to the holiday entitlement Pension Life Insurance Income Protection Season Ticket Loan Gym discount
