Company pension scheme Life assurance Holiday allowance rising with length of service Discount Gym membership Vehicle purchase discount Cycle to work scheme Main responsibilities Preparation and submission of all VAT compliance obligations including; monthly error checking and resolving, collation and reviewing data for EC Sales list and Intrastat declarations prior to submission of returns, reconciling VAT control accounts, analysis of trends in VAT returns and identifying areas of non-Compliance Preparation and submission of all UK Corporation Tax, compliance obligations including a quality check of data, running Alteryx workflows to merge and enhance ERP, Coupa and Concur data and preparations of Corporation Tax computations for UK entities on Alphatax Preparation of tax provisions and disclosures for UK legal entity financial statements Quarterly review/reconciliation of UK entities' tax balances (CT&DT) on ERP and as required providing journals to true-up to entity financial statements/submitted tax returns Assisting with preparation of group reporting tax accounting, including appreciation of tax effect of GAAP and/or consolidation adjustments to UK entities' standalone positions Assisting with calculating and processing UK Corporation Tax on payments on account within GPA Assisting with preparation of Capital Allowances and RDEC claims and other ad hoc Corporate Tax work Ensuring relevant controls over UK tax processes are operated effectively Keeping up to date on relevant developments in UK tax law, their impact on Inchcape businesses and implementing process / system changes where necessary Ideal candidate Excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to interact with all levels of the organisation including non-finance management Good understanding of accounting and business processes Proactive with good organisational skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines Knowledge / awareness of general finance systems (SAP, Coupa, Concur) and advantage Knowledge / awareness of data analytics and data visualisations tools (eg Alteryx, Power BI0 and advantage Knowledge of automotive software packages (Autoline, Kerridge) and advantage, but not essential, as training will be provided ATT, ACCA or equivalent qualification as a minimum IT literate, with intermediate Excel & Word skills Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to create effective relationships with stakeholders High level of accuracy and attention to detail About the company Inchcape is a leading independent global automotive distributor and retailer operating in 32 countries across the UK, Europe, Russia, South America, Asia and Australasia.
