United Kingdom - Greater London, London - UKJob SummaryAECOM is seeking a Senior Auditor to join our Audit Services Group (ASG). ASG is responsible for evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company's systems of internal controls and providing management with recommendations to help ensure that business objectives are achieved. This position will be based in our Aldgate, London office and will be responsibility for participating in reviews throughout the Europe; Middle East; and Africa (EMEA) region.This role is ideal for a self starter who is keen to learn and to develop their skills and training in an in-house environment. You will ideally come from one of the Big 4 and will be able to bring your experience to our business.Reporting to the Senior Director, Audit Services, the primary responsibilities of this role will be to participate as an audit professional on all assignments including SOX control testing. We will look to you to ensure that operations comply with company standards, policies and procedures (including effective risk identification and mitigation), government regulations and generally accepted accounting principles.The role will involve travel (up to 30% of your working time) both in the UK and internationally and will again give you the opportnity to expand your knwoeldge, building relationships and provide innovation to Aecom.Job Duties:As a team member participate in meeting with management to define scope and timing of reviews.Utilizing ASG methodology perform advisory, assurance or SOX projects designed to address assess risks and operational efficiency.Obtain information system extracts for audit use; independently or through assistance of others.Participate in audits and special projects equally with other audit personnel.Provides consulting services on audit, accounting and system issues, and participates in other special projects as directed.Actively performs projects to ensure timely completion within established budgets, while adhering to ASG and IIA performance standards.Draft final audit reports or sections thereof.Review management action plans and submits recommendations to Audit Manager regarding acceptance of reply or need for follow-up action.Contribute to and participate on enterprise-wide team initiatives with Internal Audit colleagues to share real-time information, establish best practices, identify risks, and refine processes.Develops and maintains good working relationships with regional management, and actively solicits feedback on those areas where ASG can contribute to the success of the Company. Actively maintains an awareness of changing company policies, organization, accounting procedures, government regulations and relevant audit standards.Aecom will also support the successful candidate in gaining their ongoing qualifications.Minimum RequirementsWe are looking for an experienced candidate to join the team, you must have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, be fluent in English but other language skills would certainly be helpful in this post due to the locations of our offices. You must have demonstrable experience functioning well in different cultures and societies and have an awareness of changing company policies, organization, accounting procedures, government regulations and audit standards. You must also have mature judgment and good administrative and organizational skills.Preferred QualificationsExcellent writing and verbal communication skills.Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field is required.Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, ACA, ACCA, CISA) are highly desirable.Ability to travel up to 30% including international travel.LI-310JWWhat We OfferWhen you join AECOM, you become part of a company that ispioneering the future .
