A family of 52 educational institutions serving over 28,000 students from a variety of backgrounds, our academies seek to close the educational gap that exists between disadvantaged students and their more privileged counterparts. We are now looking for a Deputy Payroll Manager to join our team and oversee our Payroll Department. The Role As the Deputy Payroll Manager, you will oversee our Payroll Department to enable our National Payroll & Pensions Manager to work on business-critical system projects. In this important role, you'll provide first-class customer service to key stakeholders and increase your knowledge to effectively manage other Payroll team members. Specifically, you will: - Support the development of staff in your team - Respond to escalated payroll queries - Keep abreast of developments in payroll and benefits legislation - Act as the main point of contact for external payroll audits - Complete a range of administration tasks About You To join us as a Deputy Payroll Manager, you will need: - Experience of working on an integrated payroll and/or HR system - A payroll qualification or relevant time-served experience, ideally gained within a primary and secondary education environment - A keen eye for detail - Strong communication skills We would like to hear from you if you've worked as a Payroll Supervisor, Payroll Team Leader, Senior Payroll Officer, Payroll & Benefits Officer, HR & Payroll Officer, or Payroll Clerk. Whilst primarily a full time role, for the right candidate we will also offer it on a part time basis, working 30 hours across five days and the possibility of term time only plus three weeks.
