St. Albans Full-time £55,000 - £65,000 Excellent Benefits Reference: 1561 Are you an experienced, qualified (ACCA or CIMA) Financial Controller? Do you have experience in managing a small team? Our client are the market leaders in their field, with a warm family feel to their culture, are looking for a Group Financial Controller to manage accounting functions for their international and UK group offices. This is a pivotal role for the business, and you will be working closely with and report to the Managing Director with timely and accurate financial information. Responsibilities:
Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports. Manage accounting functions for our international and UK group offices Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations. Develop systems and processes to prevent errors in data collection and calculations. Report to the MD with timely and accurate financial information. Overseeing/supporting the AP and AR functions as required Assisting the Management Accountant as required. To oversee the entire Accounts team and their processes Assist with preparations of annual budgets and forecasts Advising management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies and actions Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Candidate Requirements: At least 5 years in a Financial Controller position Qualified accountant - ACCA or CIMA Experience of building best in class financial controls and reporting lines Experience with general ledger functions and month end/year end processes Experience in creating financial statements Broad knowledge of VAT and Intrastat EC Sales Experience of managing a team of more than 5 Looking for the next step in your career?
