The client we are working with has experienced impressive business growth over the last few of years and as a result they are looking to bring in a dedicated payroll professional to join the team.This is initially on a contract basis for a period of 6 months but with a view to become a permanent member of the team in the future. As a Payroll Specialist the main focus of this role will be; Administering a monthly payroll for both salaried and contract staff Review and check timesheets for accuracy and exceptions (approx. 400 staff) Handling employee queries, phone and email and resolving any discrepancies Working closely with an outsourced provider who process the pays Setting up new starters and processing any leavers Review and manage employee expenses In the longer term there is the potential to be involved in Significant development of the payroll process as the business looks to grow Review and possible change of payroll provider or even bring the payroll fully in-house Establishing best practice and implementing process and controls for providing best possible payroll solutions company wide Potential to take on further payroll staff as the company and number of employees grow Possible implementation of new payroll software and automation of payroll If you are an experienced payroll professional and are looking for that next step then this could be a really good option for you, especially if you can make yourself available at short notice.
