We are partnership with a well established firm of Accountants based in North West London who are looking to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper to join their Bookkeeping and VAT department. Working together with the Accounts and Audit team, you will manage all aspects of bookeeping VAT assignments, duties will include: Preparing, reviewing and submitting VAT returns Preparing and filing EC Sales list with HMRC Processing VAT registration and VAT de-registration applications Preparing simple management accounts for clients Posting Accruals, prepayments and deferred income journals Bookkeeping up to the stage of trial balance and reconciling balance sheet Liaising with HMRC for on behalf of clients Preparing paperwork for VAT inspection from HMRC Conversant with EU rules Experience, qualifications and skills: - Ideally Xero certified or strong hands on experience - AAT qualified / ACCA part qualified or equivalent - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
