The Assistant Finance Business Partner is responsible for working with the Finance Business Partner and ensuring that they understand the financial performance of each customer, including budgeting control, decision support, and investment appraisal. The Assistant Finance Business Partner has an evolving role which will see them becoming more and more involved in strategy, bids and tenders and new start-ups; with this in mind, an Assistant Finance Business Partner is required to join and support the FBP. The Group Financial Accounting team post transactions and produce the P&L. Finance Business Partners review, mend, summarise and make final submissions of the P&L and KPI reporting. The Assistant FBP will assist the FBP with the above work, take ownership and responsibility for a number of smaller entities and P&L's with the full support of the FBP (as required). The role is based in Cheltenham and requires occasional visits, which is a great opportunity to engage and build relationships with stakeholders. The range of responsibilities will include; Acting as a business partner for operational functions throughout the business Taking ownership of profit & loss and balance sheet reconciliations Contributing the production of detailed KPI review and investigation Aiding the planning and budgeting process Provide robust commercial challenge to all proposed decisions, predominately at an operational level Helping to increase the Finance function's involvement in business decision making Ad hoc financial projects (cost-saving analysis and project appraisal)
