You understand that although payroll is a surprisingly old function, it's so important to keep up to date with legislation changes and ensure your payroll team are offering the best service possible. You enjoy working as part of a small team and taking a leadership role in both staff management and payroll processes. You are knowledgeable about Employment Tax and understand the importance of having appropriate controls in place to protect your organisation. You will be responsible for a team of 3 and will be in charge of- Managing the effective operation of the payroll function which includes processing 1600 salaried employees Acting as the first point of contact for all Pay & Reward related queries Ensuring full reconciliation of payroll Providing advice to staff regarding legislation and associated procedures Ensuring organisation is fully complaint in terms of controls and checks Administering internal pension schemes Pro-actively keeping up to date with new legislation Developing payroll initiatives and recommending best practice Are you who we are looking for?- You must have experience working within payroll and be confident with advising on payroll legislation Ideally you will have experience managing staff, however if your technical knowledge is exceptionally strong and you haven't had management experience yet you will still be considered Be a passionate about innovative change and open to new ideas Have project management experience Get in touch with Eilidh Black via the apply now link.
