Location:
Burgess Hill Summary Our client based in Burgess Hill is looking to recruit a Credit Controller to support their Credit Manager in maximising cash flow and minimising debtor days through efficient collection of overdue debts and prompt resolution of disputes.

Responsibilities:
Manage local cash receipts (e.g. banking of cheques) Manage local account balances, cash collection and DSO reduction effort locally Act as first point of contact for AR queries; escalate customer credit and collection issues to local Commercial management (issue resolution) Facilitate the identification and approval of proposed customer master data amendments Proactively work with Customers and Internal Departments to improve debtor portfolio and build effective relationships Proactively review tasks and priorities to ensure targets and timescales for collection and dispute resolution are met Carry out debt collection activities in accordance with current policy and business needs Maintain accurate records of collection activities in accordance with current processes Escalate seriously aged or high value overdue debt issues to Credit Manager Identify allocations, refunds adjustments, pass details to cashier in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with department processes Log all invoices, credit and debit note queries on day of notification and manage customer expectations as to resolution timescale Manage and carry out dispute investigation and resolution activities in accordance with current policies and processes Maintain accurate and up to date filing system that enables others to locate all paperwork relating to disputes under investigation and record all actions taken to resolve disputes on SAP in the standard format Process authorised credit notes and write-offs in a timely manner Escalate repeat causes of disputes with recommendations for improvement to Credit Manager Report IT issues and process failures affecting the running of the function to Credit Manager as soon as their discovered Maintain knowledge of and compliance with departmental policies and processes To be involved in projects, including those using agile and lean methodology at the request of line manager To provide training support to existing team members and new starters as requested by line manager To consistently adhere to GDPR and data privacy policies and processes at all times In conjunction with line management, to initiate and act upon a personal development plan Maintain Job description to ensure it reflects current responsibilities and role requirementsRequirements Proven ability to work with minimal supervision; a trouble-shooter with good interpersonal skills. Preferably qualified with the Chartered Institute of Credit Management by examination - or studying towards it. Accounting qualification would be advantageous. Demonstrable experience in a Credit Controller role, with demonstrated performance in optimising collections and processes, preferably within an international business. A proven team player, with ability to build successful relationships at all levels. Demonstrates a high sense of personal responsibility with proven ability to manage challenging priorities whilst meeting deadlines and remain flexible and adaptable Experience working with the Google suite of programmes For more information please contact Angela Potter at Clearline Recruitment
