SF Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a role titled as: 'Head of Internal Audit' for a well established business based in North Nottingham. This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys travelling; working closely with overseas businesses and who wants to come in to a business and completely make this role their own. You will be the Head of Internal Audit for the UK division and the international business. This is a broad role and would be responsible for conducting audit work and evaluating the effectiveness of systems of internal control to provide the Board of Directors with independent assurance on the standards of those controls. As the Head Auditor, you will be reporting into the CFO, and will be responsible for evaluating areas such as health & safety, environmental, fleet, security, quality and finance, and for ensuring certifications are maintained as appropriate. Key

responsibilities:
You will have experience and exposure to managing a team. Carry out audits of control systems to defined standards and timeframes with minimal supervision. Conduct audit closure meetings and agree the findings with the relevant managers. Prepare detailed audit reports, including recommendations to improve standards of control. Supervise junior team members as appropriate and assist in their development, where required. Adopt a risk-based approach, highlighting Company risks and controls required to address them. Provide independent assurance to the Board on the standards of control. Carry out financial, operational, systems based and VFM audits as required. Perform ad-hoc reviews and special projects as required by the Board. Provide information and advice on Company policies, systems, procedures and risks as required. Contribute to the development of the audit programme, approach, techniques and reporting standards. You will be qualified (ACA/ ACCA/ IIA or equivalent), with significant experience of working in an audit environment, ideally both finance and operational. You will have an understanding of risk and Corporate Governance issues, and knowledge of modern audit techniques. You will have a methodical and structured approach to work, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
