Are you at the start of your finance career? Are you looking for a new opportunity? Do you want to work in a busy, fast-paced environment? Barclay Meade Finance & Accountancy require a Finance Assistant for a permanent opportunity based in Loudwater with a large international defence business. This opportunity would suit someone at the beginning of their finance career with basic accounting knowledge looking to continue to develop their skills. This role will report into the Financial Controller and will be responsible for proving support to the finance team across a number of key areas. The role will have the following accountabilities: Processing expenses and monthly accruals Checking invoices are correct Support clearing overdue debtors Matching receipts to outstanding debtors Coding invoices Support maintaining the fixed asset register and verifying fixed assets Becoming a system expert and providing support to the finance team and training the wider business Verifying stock balances in general ledger Assist with month end reporting Providing support for other key tasks in the finance team The successful candidate will have good excel skills (vlookups and pivot tables), be familiar with the Microsoft Office package and have strong communication and attention to detail skills.
