An excellent opportunity to join a large business in Harpenden as a Payroll Team Leader. The Payroll Supervisor will supervise a team of 3 and work alongside 2 other payroll team leaders. The business has expanded and now require additional support as the in-house payroll function has become busier. As the payroll team leader, you will need to demonstrate a hands on ability to process payroll and related tasks but also manage the team that will report into you. The business is looking for someone with a proven payroll background that either has experience of or the ability to step up to running a payroll team. They work in a manner which means that being resourced properly is a priority within the senior managers. Duties: Take ownership of non standard monthly payroll Ensure integrity of all data following internal and HMRC requirements Ensure function complies with HMRC standards P35's and P60's submitted in timely manner Reconcile P35 submissions monthly Manage pension returns Ensure all relevant information on payments complies with HMRC requirements Reconcile benefits scheme payments monthly Person spec: Strong payroll experience in busy team PAYE and HMRC technical knowledge People management skills Good communication skills
