A global business based in Hertfordshire are looking to hire a group tax accountant due to an internal promotion. This role will be a standalone position with full support from the previous tax specialist, whilst also handling a sizable budget for advisory services. This opening would be perfect for anyone looking to further their in-house career or for their 1st/2nd step in-house.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of UK corporation tax compliance, adapting processes and reviewing where possible to ensure best practice - Assisting with tax reporting and analysis of ETR - Occasional VAT preparation (prior experience not essential) - On-going project work due to a recent large scale merger Requirements: - ACCA/ATT/ACA qualified, part qualified and study support also considered (at a more junior level) - Good systems skills with advanced excel - A self-starter and solid communicator who can quickly establish themselves in the finance function
