A global and top US law firm is looking to hire a self-motivated and pro-active Corporate Tax Associate (0-2 PQE) to join its highly regarded Corporate Tax team in London. The Team: The Corporate Tax team has a ratio of 1:1 partners to associates and carries out a broad variety of corporate tax work, including cross border and domestic, transactional and advisory. The Role: In this Corporate Tax role, you will advise on all corporate tax aspects of M&A, group reorganisations and corporate finance. In additional to transactional matters, the role will also involve standalone tax advice and structuring. You will advise clients on a wide range of tax issues including: tax consequences of selling businesses; structures for business acquisitions; private equity; capital markets; corporate reorganisations; debt restructuring; real estate transactions; structured finance; intra-group transfers of businesses; international structures and treaty claims; solvent and insolvent reconstructions; and a wide range of collective investment vehicles including limited partnerships, joint ventures, unit trusts, open-ended investment company, REITS and hybrid funds. Requirements: To be successful in this Corporate Tax role, you will have a strong academic background (a minimum 2.1 degree) and experience of Corporate Tax work at a City / strong regional firm.
