Butler Rose is currently recruiting for a self-motivated individual to actively take responsibility for the credit control function for an exciting and rapidly growing business. Our client has two primary operating divisions, which serves locations across North America and a global market outside of North America. The UK Head Office is based in High Wycombe and includes the factory, research and central functions. This role is will also involve collecting a global receivables ledger with a satellite office in Malaysia, and a subsidiary in Japan. The position will include the following month end activities: Allocating all cash appropriately A forecast of the coming months expected receipts Reconciliation of the receivable ledgers for two companies to TB within 2 days of the month end Aged debtors reconciliations Reconciliation of the monthly sales reports - for both companies. Providing a list of the balances likely to require provisionSkills required: Minimum five years of experience in Credit and Collections - will be an advantage if worked within a global business environment, preferably in manufacturing or distribution. Proven experience in account reconciliation, dispute resolution, credit analysis and collecting on all stages of delinquency. Ability, desire and experience to negotiate and communicate by phone with customers Able to offer examples of experience within a business to business environment, negotiating for payment with delinquent or difficult customers while maintaining business relationships and on-going sales. Thorough understanding of Credit and Collections Principles and Laws. Intermediate to advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), with an emphasis on the ability to prepare and analyse data using Excel spreadsheets. Experience in Access is preferred, but not essential. Must be detail-oriented and possess strong time management skills.
