This role will be based in Singapore, where you will report to the Tax Director, APAC. If you have a great attitude, flexible work style, and are passionate about becoming an expert in your field, we want to hear from you What you'll do Support regional tax audits and coordinates audit strategy for different areas of taxation (e.g., corporate income tax, and transaction taxes such as VAT, GST, JCT, and etc.). Manage the direct tax compliance of entities in APAC. Work closely with the Accounting and Compliance team on tax compliance matters for APAC. Review contracts and collaborate with tax and legal department to ensure contracts contain key terms that are consistent with global tax structure and to minimize potential tax risks to the company. Assist with tax planning projects in APAC with respect to Expedias operations and businesses, and partner with regional business leaders, finance and legal teams, in addition to external advisers on various business and tax planning matters. Liaise with transfer pricing team on intercompany transfer pricing and related matters. Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation. Assist with defining and implementing appropriate local, country tax planning strategies. Act as an interface with tax advisors to distil tax advice for tax and non-tax professionals. Who you are An inquisitive, hands-on tax professional who is willing to embrace ambiguity and constant changes in the business environment, as well as tax regulations. Able to demonstrate experience advising internal/external clients on cross-border tax issues relating to technology and technology-enabled services. Strong technical skills and experience in advising on international tax matters. Able to plan ahead and work independently to achieve overall company business objectives. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several large and complex projects with deadlines simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence at the highest levels. Strong writing, analytical and research skills with an ability to clearly communicate tax technical issues with non-tax professionals. Proficiency in Chinese will be a plus.
