This is an exciting position to provide your technical expertise and to apply your experience in establishing the policies and operational processes for the Revenue Management function for our high growth company. You will be responsible for managing Revenue Accounting, Invoicing, and Reporting and Analysis for the Invoice/revenue processes. This will require a high level of understanding of U.S. GAAP revenue recognition rules, including ASC 606, as well as in depth understanding and experience of software company key business drivers. This individual, must be process and customer minded, driving improvement and automation in the Order to Invoice/Revenue Recognition cycle. You must have a balance of being a hands-on, roll up your sleeves type of manager as well as advising senior executives on items related to revenue including recognition, pricing, etc. and should enjoy a fast-paced, start-up environment. This role will report to Corporate Controller. This role requires a seasoned finance professional with thorough understanding of revenue recognition rules and practices in a SaaS environment, process orientated, excellent communications and collaboration skills and a proven track record of synthesizing and simplifying complex issues. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to Ensure Revenue Policies are compliant to U.S. GAAP and the companies books and records are compliant to the policy Manage Invoicing process, partnering with Sales Operations to streamline processes using automation to maximize efficiency and accuracy Manage month-end close activities, including invoicing, revenue and deferred revenue journal entries, reconciliations, etc. Manage preparation of monthly quarterly financial reports and management analysis Maintain control documentation for revenue related processes, and key controls, while ensuring compliance Pro-active engagement with the business to influence/provide revenue recognition compliant solutions; this would include contract reviews, non-standard sales quotes/deals, review of new product introductions, etc. Assist in special projects, as necessary Manage, mentor and develop a team of Revenue professionals and Billing Operations Qualifications of the role are B.S. required, preferably in Accounting or Finance. CPA or equivalent preferred; Big 4 experience a plus 12 years of progressive experience in finance related field, with experience in Revenue Accounting and managing/developing a team Operations experience/mindset, with a KPI orientation Strong understanding and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP revenue recognition rules, specifically ASSC 606 Demonstrates strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Presents ideas and information in a concise, well organized manner Works effectively and collaboratively within and across teams Identifies business needs and proposed effective solutions Strong executive presence and business acumen. Ability to work directly with senior business leaders. Maintains high performance standards; passion for excellence and continuous improvement Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately and is flexible Highly proficient in excel and good PowerPoint Familiar with Sage/Intacct/WorkDay ERP, SFDC and Adaptive Insights Planning tool a plus
