As the Business Leader you will have 5 direct departmental head reports, a carefully selected management team with a wealth of experience in their respective fields. Working alongside the co-founder and with your management team your ultimate responsibility will be to drive growth in the UK and overseas, capitalizing on a market leading brand and product. In brief the role will include but will not be restricted to: Adding value to the business with a key emphasis on driving it forward to the next level. Constructive input into strategic business challenges and the improvements currently being driven by the co-founders. Adding genuine commercial value to the business. Actively participate in the corporate development of the Senior Management Team as well as active input into Management Team reviews, setting KPI's for the above team, finalise appraisal guidelines and measure them against performance. Preparation of Board packs including reporting on all functions of the business and managerial updates. Preparation of Annual Budgets and ensuring targets are met. Provide the primary point of contact for the company's accountancy partner and banking service provider. Closely monitor the business needs, stock holding, supplier relationships, purchasing forecasts, sell through ratios and improvements on yields. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be: A retail professional, with strong experience in a sector leading brand with an eye for operational excellence. Professional commitment to lead from the front by example, as the senior member of a close-knit team. Degree level or industry relevant qualifications and/or experience. Excellent leader and motivator, one who can integrate and build the business, motivating an ambitious team to follow. Have a pragmatic approach to developing operational structures and continues to innovate within them. Able to demonstrate strategic thinking and planning ability, whilst being tactically responsive to changing business needs. Sensitive to taking over the reins of a successful business from a co-founder and willing to learn. You will have a love of fashion and fashion trends.
