Job descriptionA career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You'll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited toProactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and aboveBe involved in the financial management of clientsBe actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clientsContribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumenDevelop strategies to solve complex technical challengesAssist in the management and delivering of large projectsTrain, coach, and supervise staffKeep up to date with local and national business and economic issuesContinue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brandResponsibilities/DutiesResponsible for managing the delivery of standard reporting, identification and delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics that will drive business results. Facilitate setting up of standardized report features, tools and templates for consumers. Work with the data team to ensure data is organized and made available on time for reporting operations to be run smoothly. Advise data team on additional data requirements, data transformation needs and data quality improvement needs. Assist the reporting analysts with complex ad-hoc reporting needs and monitor service levels against SLAs.Manage Standard Reporting cycles:Work with Operations Reporting Manager to understand and deliver to reporting cycle key dates and deadlinesWork with Service Delivery Centre to ensure preparation and sharing of monthly finance reports with the leadership and all relevant stakeholdersLiaise with business stakeholders to verify report content and eliminate ambiguityReview and approve monthly reporting packs prior to distributionSupport stakeholder teams with interpretation of results where requiredPropose appropriate recommendations for process improvement and optimizationPropose report standardization features and templates based on user/stakeholder feedbackFacilitate report migration to Self-Service tools (e.g. Qlikview, Tableau) and promote existing Self-service portal (e.g. GCP) usageLiaise with PwC IT, where appropriate, to resolve any system availability and performance issuesManage Ad-hoc reporting requirements:Facilitate resolution of complex client requirements by bringing together Functional SMEs, Data Scientists and Reporting Analyst resourcesWork with stakeholders to develop reporting covering their broader (non financial) information requirements and, where appropriate, integrate these with existing financial reportsAllocate appropriately skilled Reporting Analysts for creating the reporting outputsAssure Quality, Accuracy and Security of outputs (produced by Analysts) prior to sign-off and distributionEnsure all reporting complies with the client and data confidentiality restrictions agreed with territories and includes the appropriate terms & conditions clausesSkills & KnowledgeManagement of reporting resources to support simultaneous reporting needs while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly changing environmentProven ability to solve problems, handle conflict, anticipate issues/concerns, troubleshoot problems, and proactively institute creative solutions quickly and in detailAbility to establish strong working relationships with other departmentsAbility to review and critically assess processes, working with colleagues to drive changeAbility to embrace the ongoing digitisation of the business, driving efficiency and quality through improved technology and solutionsUnderstand the benefits of the BOS programme and support stakeholders with enhanced reportingStrong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skillsKnowledge and experience of Databases, BI and visualization tools (TM1, GDW, QlikView)Familiarity with reports on Net Revenues, Net Incomes, Average headcount, Engagement Margin, Opportunities and pipeline and Network Costs reports etc.Knowledge of working with large data sets including: statistical analyses, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing/transformation/processingEducation (desirable)ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualifiedWork-ExperienceExpertise developing Business Intelligence solutions and direct supervision with BI Teams or complex BI project lead experienceExperience working as part of a reporting team using a modern reporting platforms such as R, QlikView, Tableau etc.Experience in working with database developers to ensure reporting data sources are optimally tuned for reportingExperience working with service delivery centres (preferable)Not the role for you?
