Our client is in the Retail sector and is looking for a permanent Accounts Assistant to join their hard working Finance Team. The opportunity is perfect for someone with a few years experience in a similar role. The role will include: Working within a team of four, reporting into the Finance Director Be able to reconcile the company's bank accounts and credit cards Manage company ledgers and posting receipts daily Controlling credit and chase debt Raise credits notes and reporting refunds and operations credits Report on debtors and creditors Posting and paying of supplier invoices. Reconcile supplier invoices to statements Managing and posting of petty cash transactions Assist with recording, reconciling expense claims Assist with monthly management accounts and year end accounts Handling accruals and prepayments Monthly Reporting of Stock Purchases Monitor the accounts emails and deal with queries Sorting out daily post and answering the phone Adjusting the entries and correcting any invoices posted to incorrect nominal Ad-hoc purchases via company's credit card Assist with ad hoc finance/accounts projects and duties Provide cover for other day to day accounting functions when a member of the Team is out of the office They are looking for: XERO experience What they offer: 20 days holiday bank holidays (goes up each year to 25 days) Great social events 9-5:30pm working hours Incentive bonus Salary up to 28k depending on experience Pension scheme Ideal start date as soon as possible BUT for the right candidate they will be prepared to wait whilst the candidates complete their notice.
