Our client is building out institutional capabilities and undertaking portfolio management services from its European based centre. As a strategically important development to compliment this, they wish to develop their existing retirement solutions capability in order to provide occupational pension scheme investment and administration services for corporate entities with multi-jurisdictional workforces. This position will support the business by providing expert legal support services in the run up to and following the recent launch of the enhanced services. Reporting to the Head of UK Business Legal you will be responsible for supporting the pan European retirement product in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2341 on the activities and supervision of institutions for occupational retirement provision (IORPs) in all Legal matters. You will ideally have: knowledge of occupational pension scheme legal constructs in a territory where pension schemes are well developed. Experience in negotiation of commercial agreements. Understanding of life company structure and open architecture platforms. Relevant professional qualification; qualified lawyer in a relevant area of financial services.
