Join Assurant, one of the leading providers in Lifestyle & Automotive protection in Europe, as a Group Reporting Accountant. We're looking for an experience Group Reporting Accountant to join our European Finance team. You'll be working within our Finance Department & will support the Group Reporting Team to deliver efficient, accurate, timely and high quality submission of internal and external reporting outputs, including statutory, regulatory and US reporting. The successful candidate will need to support the delivery of high quality reporting of the monthly and quarterly financials to the US parent. This includes a number of legal entities, branches and covering multiple currencies. You will also play a key role in the co-ordination of the statutory audit process and the preparation of statutory accounts. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
• Preparation of Statutory Annual accounts, including going concern assessment, impairment review documentation
• On time submission of statutory reporting inputs to regulatory reporting on a quarterly basis
• On time submission of consolidated, US GAAP financial reporting on a monthly basis
• Co-ordination of the statutory audit process, working with key SME's and stakeholders within the wider Finance function, to deliver on-time and in a cost efficient manner The ideal person to join us will have the skills, knowledge & experience in the following areas;
• 2:1 degree level or above
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Knowledge of Insurance Accounting principles
• US GAAP Knowledge
• Big 4 accountancy experience
• Experience managing people in a changing environment
• Experience within the Insurance sector would be advantageous
• Experience of data manipulation/reconciliation
