Altum Consulting are working with an Arts Organisation to find a Project Accountant to join their Finance Business Partnering team on a basis of 5-6 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and friendly team and gain valuable insight into business partnering. This opportunity will suit someone who is looking to improve their business partnering knowledge and be part of planning for exciting capital projects. This role's key objective is to support the Finance Business Partners during their budgeting process. The budgeting process focuses around the budget holders' key assumptions for their business areas. The budget meetings are held at the end of the year, and into the new year, so being able to come in and hit the ground running is essential. As this role involved supporting the business partners and meeting with budget holders, have strong communication skills and the ability to communicate finance to non-finance team memebers, is essential. Having practical experience of management accounting is essential for this role in order to build upon previous skills and develop business partnering skills too. This role will provide fantastic insight into how large budgets are prepared and submitted. Moreover, as the organisation are looking into planning for capital projects over the next few years, this opportunity will provide invaluable experience to see how projects are planned for in their initial stages from a finance perspective. This opportunity would suit someone who is immediately available, has a solid management accounting background, and looking to improve and expand their knowledge within a well-known arts institution. The ideal candidate will come from a non-profit background, however the team are open to backgrounds. The key for this role is an eagerness to learn and strong communication skills, in order to communicate finance to non-finance team members and budget holders.
