Our client, a well known Media company, is looking for a Global Commercial Analyst to assist the Global Client Finance Directors with a large portfolio of global clients. The role would suit someone with experience in co-ordinating financial information globally, who has an interest in the commercial side of the business and is looking to develop their skills. Working with large data, collecting, consolidating and analysing to develop commercial/fee proposals and supporting commercial decisions, the role requires someone with strong attention to detail and analytical skills. An Excel whizz, the role would suit someone with strong interpersonal skills, someone with proven verbal and written communication skills, self-motivated and someone with good IT skills. The role has the opportunity to really help someone develop their commercial experience and progress their career further down the commercial path, whilst using and applying relevant finance background and experience. Key deliverables Existing clients Responsible for collection, consolidation and analysis of data from Regional and Local Finance/Commercial Directors to develop commercial/fee proposals, support key commercial decisions, respond to ad hoc client queries as well as ongoing commercial compliance Responsible for producing analytical work, sourcing information and preparing reports for internal stakeholder and key global clients Ensuring all reporting to our key global clients is carried out in accordance with our client contractual obligations Assist with the management of client audits, working with Audit Lead Create and maintain client benchmarking information pool (e.g. client revenue and historic pitch proposals) Quarterly review of global client revenue and preparation of commentary for senior management Review / preparation of bi-annual review of rebates and other media income summaries to ensure that sources of income obtained are compliant with contracts & policy Maintain the commercial intranet site ensuring the network have access to relevant contractual documents Ad hoc special project work and implementation of best practice measures New business Co-ordination / collection of information from local markets to support construction of remuneration proposal for significant regional / global client pitches Support Global Client Finance Directors and Managers on negotiation of terms and follow through to completion (e.g. briefing local markets) Key Behaviours and Knowledge Qualified Accountant (preferred) Commercial outlook with the ability to demonstrate and engage a commercial view across general business undertakings and challenges Strong analytical skills and attention to detail: Ability to process and, most of all, interpret financial data in support of commercial decisions Strong Excel skills, with detailed knowledge of Vlookups, pivot table, power pivots, index match and indirect functions Ability to recognise and diagnose problems, as well as the underlying causes, then develop practical solutions Possess a natural attention to detail and ability to digest information from a wide variety of sources Open-minded, able to develop and assess different options and solutions Good all round IT skills for analysing and presenting information Very strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating on daily basis the ability to succinctly communicate with finance and non-finance people alike and to accommodate language and cultural differences Strong listening skills and ability to process verbal information Proven verbal and written communicator who can measure the requirements of different audiences and adapts his / her communication style accordingly Highly self-motivated, flexible and possess a high level of initiative.
