An international reinsurer is looking to hire an Interim Head of Financial Reporting to work closely with the Head of Finance. The role offers a challenging variety of work and exposure to senior management and will cover a critical time during their financial year end in December. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all aspects of the regular and annual reporting process with a focus on Solvency II, IFRS and US GAAP reporting. This will include: Working with the Director to ensure the outputs and requirements in respect of the reporting process are clearly understood and are delivered on time. Review and challenge of outputs produced by Business Units as well as a more detailed review of outputs produced by the Divisional Finance Team Monitoring of process of agreed remediation actions from past reviews Overseeing financial reporting for the UK based legal entities including the annual and quarterly PRA submissions, annual financial statements and quarterly financial reporting to Group. Oversee the treasury and investment management activities Provide expert input to drive the continuous improvement of working practices, processes, systems and controls in Finance across the Division. Working with other functional areas to prepare and present materials to various committees, including the Risk Management Committee , ExCo, the Audit Committee and the Board Risk Committee Taking the lead on projects (or supporting other members of the team) relating to changes in statutory reporting and accounting regimes. They are looking for candidates with a good understanding of the life insurance market, significant experience in Solvency II, IFRS/US GAAP, excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, sound financial judgement, strong project and stakeholder management skills and the ability to contribute effectively to a variety of challenging tasks.
