Our client is a global Venture Capital company based in central London. Due to increased success and an internal promotion, a new role exists to be the No.2 in Finance. This person will hold a very broad and hands-on role. A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with Private Equity or Venture Capital accounting experience is required. The Role: Preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end accounts for audit Valuations of portfolio investments Annual budget preparation and subsequent monitoring of company performance Maintaining cash reserves, including preparation of Treasury proposals Quarterly accounts for managed fund Day-to-day management of audit and tax teams Preparation of UK and US payroll, pensions, benefits, etc. Preparation of FCA regulatory returns Day-to-day management of the Accountant, including review and sign off of non-complex areas Requirements: You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA preferred where possible) Post-practice experience gained in a Private Equity/Venture Capital business Good technical accounting skills (IFRS) Able to work as part of small team in a very hands-on capacity The Opportunity: This role will suit someone looking to take a step-up in their career, to be more integral and visible Work with a great Group FD who is keen to pass along as many duties as possible to this person
