An exciting opportunity to join a leading energy company as a Lead Analyst within Budget Reporting Analysis based in Edinburgh City Centre. Key
Responsibilities:
To ensure that all Edinburgh operated, and nonoperated assets, departments and corporate project budgets, forecasts, and actuals (whether monthly, quarterly, or annually) provided are accurate, complete and timely (i.e., in line with agreed timetables). To ensure that variances (actuals versus budgets/ forecasts and actuals vs AFEs) are fully explained and communicated effectively on a timely basis to relevant internal and external stakeholders. To prepare presentations/ summaries of information (manpower/ timewriting/ costs) for various internal and external meetings. To mentor less experienced finance team members (not necessarily formally reporting to the Lead Analyst). Coordinate and prepare inputs and responses for external and internal audits relating to reporting scope. Responsible with the Manager Operations Accounting, Reporting Analysis for the review, implementation, maintenance and development of financial systems, procedures and controls. To ensure that new assets, departments and corporate projects are appropriately integrated into operational reports, reporting processes and schedules. Education: Minimum undergraduate degree preferably in accountancy, economics or finance. Qualified accountant CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
