Our client, a long-established firm of accountants who provide professional accountancy, tax and business advisory services to individuals and businesses, is currently hiring for an Accounts and Audit Senior. You will be responsible for leading audit assignments for manager, and ultimate partner review, including year-end accounts preparation and corporation tax work. Responsibilities Communicate directly with clients via phone and email. Ensure all queries are discussed with the client and key risk areas, or unresolved matters are brought to the client managers or partner attention Assist in job planning and workflow of accounts and audit work. Chasing clients where necessary to ensure jobs are progressed timely and efficiently once records have been received Assist with pre audit planning with manager and partner. Attending client premises for each audit assignment at planning, and field work stage as necessary, and ultimately presenting the audit files for manager Document and test audit clients systems and controls notes, which should be reviewed with appropriate client staff so that they are kept up to date on an annual basis Where audit clients are located at non commutable distances from the office, overnight accommodation should be arranged as necessary Requirements Establish strong and successful relationships with accounts and audit clients Support managers or partners at lunchtime monthly networking meetings ACA or ACCA qualified Progression to manager level (assessed on experience and length of service) This is a full time, permanent position working Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm.
