We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to play an instrumental role in providing high-quality financial management and developing financial systems, policies and procedures as our Financial Controller. About us The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) is a professional membership association dedicated to improving women's health care across the world. We do this by setting standards for clinical practice, providing doctors with training and lifelong learning, and working with partners to advocate for women's health and health care across their life course. About the role As Financial Controller, you will lead the finance function, managing a team of five and ensuring the effective control of operational finances. Alongside the Executive Director of Finance and Resources, you will support the development of our annual revenue, capital budgets, longer term forecasts and management of our investment portfolio. You will be responsible for overseeing the monthly management accounts and presenting these for dissemination to senior leadership and our Board, and where necessary deputising for our Executive Director of Finance and Resources. A strong communicator, you will also provide financial support and advice to budget holders across the organisation. You will play a key role within the finance department and across the RCOG, responsible for the continuous development of systems of control, ensuring the security of the RCOG's finances. Requirements As the ideal candidate, you will have: Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CIPFA (or QbE, or equivalent) Significant post-qualification experience in senior financial and management role for a related organisation Extensive experience of system and process improvement Able to develop staff and build exceptional teams Strong IT skills Benefits As an important member of the team, you will be located in our well-resourced offices overlooking Regent's Park, with a move planned for November 2019 to brand new bespoke offices in London Bridge.
