Proactive Personnel are proud to be representing their client who is an established estate and land management business; serving clients throughout Herefordshire, Shropshire and Wales. I am currently looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant with existing bookkeeping skills to join a friendly accounts team in Shrewsbury. The ideal candidate would be AAT qualified with an interest in property and estate management. Typical tasks include:
• Bookkeeping for a variety of clients
• Issue rent demands and sales invoices
• Monitor income and advise land agents of late payments
• Pay cheques into bank accounts
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Process supplier invoices
• Raise cheques and prepare BACS payments
• Prepare VAT returns
• Prepare cash flow forecasts
• Prepare financial reports for land agents and clients
• Prepare annual accounts information Candidate skills required
• Understand accounting principles
• Experience of bookkeeping; ideally for land and estates
• Understand VAT and experience of VAT returns
• Experience of accounting packages; Sage 50 and on-line banking systems
• Ability to learn the in-house estate management system, Propman
• Competent in Excel, Word and Outlook
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent time management
• Ability to adhere to confidentiality
• Enjoy working as part of a team
Location:
Shrewsbury Hours: 9:00am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday Salary guide: £20,000 - £22,000 (depending on experience) Start date: October 2019 Benefits our client is offering; Free parking Pension Commutable from; Shrewsbury Telford Oswestry
