Accounts Payable Assistant, Bagshot, £20-£25k benefits This is a cracking opportunity to work for a large and extremely successful multi-site business in a stable and busy finance team. Using Sage, initially you will be responsible for the administration of the full purchase ledger function for a particular business unit and tasks will include but are not limited to: Processing purchase ledger invoices so they are ready for payment - batching, matching and coding supplier invoices to orders. Liaising with suppliers to claim credits as and when required. Reconciling accounts to supplier statements to ensure all outstanding balances are paid accordingly. Dealing with staff and supplier enquiries in person, on the phone and via email. Liaising with the purchasing team when orders come in to ensure that products go onto the system at the correct price. Importing Excel spreadsheets from suppliers to the in-house system. The successful candidate will have a positive hands-on 'can do' attitude, a good understanding of Excel, Word and Outlook and will be able to work both as part of a successful team but also on their own initiative. Experience of Sage 200 would be useful but is not essential as full training will be provided. Whilst this role could suit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk just looking to add value in a friendly, supportive Finance team environment, the client is also happy to consider applications from less experienced candidates looking to develop their skillsets in an entry level role or from candidates seeking more all-round Accounts Assistant type jobs as there will definitely be opportunities to take on more varied responsibilities in due course (that would complement AAT study for instance). Benefits include 21 days holiday, free on-site parking, joint contributory pension and a staff discount scheme. Hours of work are 9-5.30 with half an hour for lunch and there is scope to start earlier (8/8.30am) if required after a qualifying period. AAT study support will also be considered for the right candidate. Applications are being considered immediately -
