A rapidly expanding pharmaceutical business based in Maidenhead seek a Senior Financial Accountant to become a pivotal part of finance function. The business is US owned with offices across Europe and the European HQ in Maidenhead. The Senior Financial Accountant will support the entities across the European region. Due to the expansion of the business this is a fantastic opportunity to progress quickly to Financial Controller in a high growth business. In the role, this individual will be key to the monthly and quarterly close process, preparation of audited statutory financial statements across multiple legal entities, ensuring the accuracy of the financial data. This individual will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and vendors in support of the EU and US finance teams. Ability to review monthly transactional level detail and determine where journals may be required across all entities Prepare UK and EU Country monthly management pack to assist with internal financial review Prepare support schedules and evidence for statutory accounts preparation, annual audit and corporation tax return for UK and EU entities Continue the financial education of key operational stakeholders including monthly reminders of key deadlines such as expenses, payroll, ESPP and Pension Manage the accounts receivable function for UK and EU Provide day to day financial and accounting support to the wider finance team as well as any help operations may require. Support finance director and finance manager in generation of input templates for budget and forecast Review monthly/quarterly VAT returns for completeness in collaboration with external VAT consultants across UK and EU entities Become a SME on building Host reports and build reports for the finance team and Country teams Develop the ability to build reports OTHER SKILLS ACA or ACCA qualified accountant Strong technical accounting experience including IFRS Strong analytical skills; ability to design new reports for use by both finance and operations Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to work with non-finance staff Flexibility to work in a fast paced and dynamic matrix environment By applying you will be registered as a candidate with Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment Limited.
