Role: Bookkeeper Based: Cardiff (outskirts)
Salary:
£18,000 - £28,000 depending on qualifications / experience An opportunity has arisen with a well-established Chartered Accountancy firm based in north Cardiff. The practice offers full range of accountancy and tax services to their clients throughout Wales and the South West, and are looking to add an experienced Bookkeeper/Junior Accounts Manager to the team thanks to their continued growth. The role is a mixture of Bookkeeping and Accounts preparation. Key responsibilities include: Bookkeeping of a variety of clients across a wide range of industries / sectors, working from basic information provided such as sales and purchase invoices Managing and maintaining control accounts as part of the bookkeeping process VAT returns for sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies Preparing statutory accounts and creating working paper files for Director reviews Completing monthly management accounts Experience on Cloud Bookkeeping packages such as Xero and QuickBooks would be preferred Skills required: Minimums 3 years required within practice Experience of bookkeeping for a variety of businesses within practice and full understanding of VAT Must have substantial accounting experience commensurate with the role Good Excel knowledge Good IT skills and knowledge of the use of IRIS Accounts Production Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Self-motivated Self-starter AAT qualification preferred but not essential If you are looking for a supportive and professional firm to make your next career move, apply now.
