Overview Our client is one of the most widely recognised and respected Investment Management companies in the UK with a proud history dating back over 200 years and Assets under Management of nearly £50bn. An opportunity has arisen within their Winchester office for an ambitious professional seeking to progress a career in Investment Management. Job purpose To assist the Investment team (two Investment Directors, one Investment Manager) in the care of client portfolios ensuring that a high level of professional standards are maintained at all times. This is a regulated position. Key accountabilities Assist with the day to day administration of accounts including cash payments, static data amendments, ISA subscriptions etc. Communicate with clients and advisers and answer queries in a prompt and accurate fashion. Assist in the Client Suitability process, ensuring internal and external requirements and standards are adhered to. Contribute to the asset allocation and stock selection process, reviewing performance of preferred funds and coordinating meetings with external fund managers either in Winchester or via the London office. Build and execute trades as required and directed by Senior Managers. Collate investment proposals and presentation packs for pitches and client meetings. Communicate and liaise with IT and Operations Department, working with them to implement any necessary changes to the systems and records. Contribute towards continuing development of the Group by participating in projects, committees and other activities as may be requested from time to time. Maintain and develop good relationships with brokers, professional advisers and other relevant organisations carrying out desk research as necessary so that investment and technical knowledge is maintained and increased. This includes maintaining up to date knowledge of and adherence to current regulatory requirements Knowledge and skills required Experience in a client-orientated administration role within the Financial Services, Investment or Wealth Management industry. Knowledge of developments in the industry, including new products, legislation and regulation. Preferably CISI Level 4 qualified, Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) Have a keen interest in investment and investment products Have an understanding and appreciation of the regulatory environment. Accuracy and attention to detail. Comfortable in the use of IT systems
