Management Accountant Leicester Salary up to £45k Dependant on Experience Optima Professional Services are recruiting for an experienced, proactive, highly self-motivated Management Accountant to join a leading Leicestershire/Global Manufacturing business. You'll be educated to University Degree level along with a professional accounting qualification and possess a minimum of 3 or more years' experience within a commercial environment. You'll be responsible for several key areas of the finance function, including the analysis of costs for products in UK and some European countries, Preparation of management accounts and other financial information, data, and analysis for internal and external submission, and the maintenance of accounting systems and processes. The management accountant will also provide selective back up to the assistant financial accountant. The role will require limited travel in Europe. Key role

responsibilities:
Preparation of management accounts for review by UK Finance including analysis of cost of sales, margins and stock valuations. Review trends on key accounts and share best practice Understand product and customer profitability Preparation of journals Support Financial Controller EMEA and UK Finance Manager in preparation of budgets and forecasts for Group Submission Collection of data and calculation of monthly cost reduction summary and templates and chair meetings Collection of data and calculation of weekly KPI's Preparation of data for monthly Operations Review pack Assist Site Finance Managers in the preparation of regional / site review pack for discussion by the executive team Support internal and external audits as required (including SOX) Various other reporting and analysis assignments as required Provide support to the team and assist with ad-hoc accounting duties as required The ideal candidate will have: Highest ethics and integrity. Good leadership, interpersonal skills and commercial awareness. Ability to motivate others and provide clear direction. Demonstrates financial and commercial awareness, inclination for figures. Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks and projects and deliver to deadlines. Takes initiative, acts with confidence and works under own direction. Good communicator, able to express opinions, information and key points of an argument clearly and concisely. Experience in German GAAP accounting principles Desirable: Syteline System knowledge
