The Company: Nigel Wright are delighted to be working in partnership with an owner managed, services based organisation. Head-quartered in County Durham, the business operates contracts throughout the UK and has a turnover of £20m. The Role: The Head of Finance will report into the Finance Director and lead the team on a day to day basis This is a very hands on role and the Head of finance will lead the management accounts process (including contract P&L's, overheads and balance sheet, variance analysis, etc) Review/analyse contract P&L's, partnering with the operations directors & managers, challenging results/performance The finance system is Sage 200 and the Head of Finance will be expected to take a lead (alongside the FD) with the system, driving efficiencies where possible (working in conjunction with the out-sourced IT business) Support the Finance Director with the budgeting process Preparation of ad hoc analysis for the business and support with new contract bids The Person: You must be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) Ideally you'll have prior experience of usinig Sage Line 200, or have all rounnd strong IT/systems experience - Advanced Excel skills up to Macro level ideally. Stakeholder engagement - you'll work in partnership with several non-finance colleagues, therefore you'll need ot have the ability to be able to relay complex financial data in a straight forward and palatable manner Cultural fit is key, given the medium sized team. The business is looking for someone who will work cohesively with both the finance team and the wider business
